Pod Youth

Parent / Carer permission forms are renewed annually. Save time in the iPad kiosk queue on Friday and register online beforehand!

This term’s theme is 'Into the Deep' - through our usual games, discussions & activities we're exploring the curious story of Jonah in the Bible. We’ll ask questions like ‘What do you do when God loves your enemies?’ and ‘Can God be tricked by a cheap apology!?’.

We usually operate weeks 2-9 of the school term but this term is short so last Pod is week 8. The youth page is kept up to date with the latest dates and info but here’s a few highlights:

  • Fri 23rd Feb - No Pod - we’ll all be off enjoying church Getaway! Find out more here.

  • Fri 22nd Mar - 'Eyes Wide Open' night - a series of activities where teens reflect on the world we live in and God's heart for all people.

  • Sat 23th Mar - Pod Event - Yallingup Maze! 1-4pm, drop off and pick up from BBC. More details and rego TBA soon.

  • Fri 29th Mar - No Pod - Come to our Good Friday service in the morning though!

DGs (Discipleship Groups)

Monday arvos weeks 2-9

This year we welcome Jordan Colyer to the team being trained to lead the Bible studies with me (Simon)!

Yr7-8s: Jordan & I will be taking the teens through a Bible overview journey aiming to resource them with confidence to engage with God’s word for themselves. The Bible is the most important book you could ever read but it’s big and old - can we trust it, how do we navigate it and does it really make a difference in our lives today - these are the kinds of questions we’ll grapple with!

Yr9-10s: Sonya will be opening up Mark’s Gospel with the teens helping them see the amazing claims of Jesus for themselves firsthand! Be gripped by the intriguing twists and turns as Jesus shows compassion where no one else does, says the occasional awkward comment, and does verbal battle with the religious elites.

Young Adults Connect Group

For Yr11+ Sundays Wk2-9

The Young Adults Connect Group is all about older teens and young adults seeking to encourage each other as we apprentice to the way of Jesus - growing in our trust & love for Him. We do this with regular time to connect with each other, pray together, and study the Bible - building confidence in our own Bible reading skills.

We encourage group members to commit to each other and attend weekly as much as possible - you’ll notice the impact on your prayer and study group experience! More details click here.

Our main communication happens through a Facebook Messenger group. This thread is a meaningful part of our community/connection approach and all participants are encouraged to join.

One of the leaders will add you to the message thread when you first attend. Or feel free to ‘friend’ any one of us and ask us to add you!

You do not need an active fb account to use Messenger. See facebook help article here.

Christmas party seems like a long time ago!

God bless,
