What to Expect

We have a team of people ready to greet you as you arrive. Sundays at BBC are a mixture of casual, fun community and life-changing stuff as we explore the Bible together. Our services run for under 90 minutes and we aim to make your first experience at BBC a great one!

Music

Services begin with the music team leading the church in singing. The words are projected on the screen so that you can join in with the praise & worship as you feel comfortable.

Prayer

We love to pray at BBC and there will be times in the service where a member of the church will lead us in a time of prayer. But don’t worry, you won’t have to pray in public.

The Bible

The Bible will be read at several times during the service. Don’t worry, you won’t be asked to read in public. The words will be projected on the screen so you can read along. If you would like your own copy of the bible, just ask! We can arrange for you to have your own copy.

Message

One of our Pastors will come and share an encouraging and hope filled message from the Bible. We believe that every story in the Bible is pointing to Jesus and invites us to connect our stories with God’s story. There are notes on the screen so you can follow along.

Communion

At the first Easter Jesus shared a meal with His followers. From time to time in church we celebrate the story of Jesus through sharing a ‘sample version’ of that meal. Each person is offered a small piece of gluten free bread and a little cup of juice. This is a special moment for God’s people - if you wouldn’t call yourself a follower of Jesus, please feel free to let the bread and juice pass by.

Offering

The local church relies on the giving of its members to keep running. But don’t worry, this is an opportunity for regular members of the church. If you’re visiting please be our guest and just pass the bag on. BBC uses the money for our local ministries, our overseas missions and to pay for the running costs of the church. Church members have input and approve the annual budget and use of funds, to which the Church Board is accountable.

Morning Tea

After the service, there is time to chat over a cuppa. Please stick around and introduce yourself.
