Church Getaway 2024

Our biannual church getaway is here! Hosted at the Baptist Campsite in Busselton (Campsite B). Join us for a weekend of fellowship, connecting and just enjoying time together in community!

Our getaway finishes with church together on Sunday at the campsite - anyone not attending the getaway is encouraged to still be part of the Sunday service at the campsite. And we'll end the weekend with lunch together!

Please note as this is an all-ages camp children are to remain under the duty of care of their parents unless otherwise stated.

Cost & Pricing Details

Our Church Getaway Organising Team seeks to make the 'full camp experience' as accessible as possible. As a church, we also budget to subsidise Camp/Getaway costs. Much of our operating costs exist regardless of whether someone makes use of the accommodation provided or not. For these reasons, we are unable to offer a cheaper 'day-only' rate. 

2024 Ticket Prices:

  • 0-4 Yrs Standard Rego: Free

  • 5+ Yrs Standard Rego (includes accommodation if chosen): $40

  • 5+ Yrs (Optional donation rate - represents approx. actual cost): $95

  • Ensuite Room (See note below on booking an ensuite room): $170

  • Sunday Lunch Only: $10

(Sunday Church Only is free and no rego required)

We don't want finances to hinder anyone from attending

  • We seek to keep the standard camp registration cheaper than a one-day Perth Conference.

  • For families registering 3 or more children who are 5+ years, please feel free to use the discount code FAMLY25 for a 25% discount.

  • We are happy to offer other discounts where finances might prevent someone from attending - Please talk to Simon or Paul to organise a discount code. 

  • If you're able to donate to help make those discounts available then please contact us.

Note on booking an ensuite room:

  • Ticket sales for the four available rooms go on sale 8am Monday 22nd Jan.

  • For couples & families, only one adult should book the ensuite ticket & other family members should use standard rego.

  • e.g. John & Jane want an ensuite room: John registers with the ensuite ticket ($170) & Jane registers with the standard ticket ($40). John & Jane pay $210 and our planning team allocate them the room together.

Getting There:

We are staying at Campsite B (So don’t overshoot & miss the entrance - you’ll end up at Campsite A! :)

  • Flexible arrival begins from 4:30pm on the Friday

  • Please sign in at the dining room
    (Anyone leaving / returning to the site must sign in/out each time - it is a requirement for our use of the campsite)

  • Dinner starts 5:30 (See the full program below)

Friday

  • 4:30 - Arrive anytime onwards

  • 5:30 - Dinner
    (Come dressed in your best getaway attire! 🌴 e.g. bright Hawaiian shirt, etc.)

  • 6:30 - Camp Orientation Session

  • 6:45 - Team Triumphs

  • 7:45 - Supper

  • 8:30 - Free time

Saturday

  • 7:00 - Prayer on the beach (optional)

  • 7:30 - Breakfast
    Barista coffee available for purchase from van at Campsite A!

  • 8:30 - Devotion & singing

  • 9:00 - Elective Session 1

    • Coffee Workshop

    • Kids Woodwork Toys (Yr1+)

    • Sport Activities

    • Sewing/knitting UFOs

    • Kids Sewing Activity (Yr1+)

    • Art Session
      (Suitable for both adults and kids)

  • 10:30 - Morning tea

  • 11:00 - Devotion & Prayer

  • 11:15 - Free Time

  • 12:00 - Lunch

  • 1:00 – Elective Session 2

    • Water Games
      (Parent supervision for kids required)

Sunday

  • 9:15 - Tea & Coffee

  • 9:45 - Church on the lawn
    (Includes creche part way through)

  • 11:45 - Lunch

  • 12:30 - Clean up campsite

 

What's the accomodation like?

The Baptist Campsite B is a very comfortable and well resourced venue. We've got access to the Dining Room, Meeting Hall, Oval, Tennis Court and the beach!

You will be allocated a room in the camp's dormitory-style 'Bunkhouses' with nearby bathroom block.

There are four ensuite rooms available under specific registration - ticket sale opening Monday 22nd Jan 8am.

We will attempt to allocate families in their own room and singles will be in shared single-sex rooms. Please note, depending on availability, couples and/or families may be required to share a room with others - But we'll communicate with you beforehand and seek to accomodate any preferences that you may have.

 

What to Bring:

  • Camping chair and/or picnic blanket (For Sunday church outside on the grass!)

  • For Friday night: Your best getaway attire! 🌴 (e.g. bright Hawaiian shirt, etc.)

  • Sheets (top and bottom must be used) & pillow

  • Sleeping bag/blankets/doona

  • Insect repellent

  • Sunscreen

  • Share food for morning tea, afternoon tea, and/or supper

  • Enclosed shoes (for helping in the kitchen!)

  • Bushdance cloths (e.g. flannie, jeans, boots, etc.)

  • Optional: Board and card games

 

Just Joining for Church

Sunday 25th Feb at 9:45

For one Sunday only, BBC’s Sunday church gathering is relocated to be part of the whole camp. Also, there’s a slight time change - 9:45 start!

So if you can’t make it to the camp, please still join us for church! There’s no need to register for just church, however there is a $10 registration if you’d like to stay for lunch.
